SLITTING CUTTER

Slitting cutters are precision cutting tools designed for efficiently slitting, trimming, or cutting rolls of materials into narrower widths. Widely used in paper, film, foil, plastic, textile, and metal processing industries, these cutters ensure clean, accurate, and burr-free cuts while maintaining consistent material quality.

Manufactured from premium-grade tool steel, alloy steel, or high-speed steel (HSS), slitting cutters undergo advanced heat treatment and precision grinding to achieve optimal hardness, sharpness, and wear resistance. Their robust design allows them to withstand high-speed slitting operations, providing stable and vibration-free cutting performance.

Slitting cutters are available in various diameters, thicknesses, edge profiles, and bore sizes, making them compatible with different slitting machines and applications. Optional coatings such as TiN or TiCN enhance durability, reduce friction, and extend service life.

Technical Features

  • Premium Material Composition
Made from high-grade tool steel, alloy steel, or HSS for superior strength, toughness, and long-lasting performance.
  • Advanced Heat Treatment
Controlled hardening and tempering ensure optimal hardness, wear resistance, and edge retention.
  • Precision Edge Grinding
CNC-ground edges provide sharp, accurate, and burr-free cutting for consistent slit widths.
  • High Hardness Range
Typically 55–62 HRC, maintaining cutting efficiency over extended use.

Applications

  • Paper & Printing Industry
Used to slit paper rolls, cardboard, and printed sheets into precise widths for packaging and printing applications.
  • Plastic & Film Industry
Ideal for slitting plastic films, laminates, BOPP, PET, and other flexible materials.
  • Metal Foil Industry
Applied in cutting aluminum, copper, and steel foils into narrow strips without burrs or deformation.
  • Packaging Industry
Used to create precise widths of packaging films, labels, and laminates for converting processes.
